Delivery
Goods will be delivered to the shipping address nominated at checkout. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary due to courier or supply chain delays.
Shipping Address
Customers are responsible for ensuring that delivery details are correct at the time of purchase. SmartLink NZ is not liable for losses resulting from incorrect shipping information.
Back Orders
Customers may choose to wait for restock or request cancellation.
Installation
SmartLink products are generally supplied as DIY solutions unless installation is separately agreed. Any electrical work must be completed by a licensed electrician where required by New Zealand law. SmartLink NZ is not responsible for third-party installation workmanship unless explicitly contracted.
Payment
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.
Payment Terms
Full payment must be received before goods are dispatched unless alternative written arrangements are agreed.
Payment Security
SmartLink NZ uses secure encrypted payment gateways. We do not store full credit card details on our servers.
Ownership
Ownership of goods passes to the purchaser once full payment has been received. Risk transfers upon delivery.
Warranty & Consumer Rights
SmartLink NZ complies with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA). Nothing in this document limits, excludes, or modifies your statutory rights under the CGA.
Under the CGA, goods supplied to consumers must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, match description, and be free from defects.
Manufacturer Warranty
SmartLink provides a 12-month manufacturer warranty on all products unless otherwise stated in writing.

- Wireless Alarm Systems – 12 Months
- Smart Locks & Doorbells – 12 Months
What Is Not Covered
Warranty does not cover misuse, accidental damage, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, power surge damage, or environmental exposure beyond product specifications.
Returns & Refunds Policy
SmartLink NZ provides remedies in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. For minor faults, we reserve the right to repair or replace the product. For substantial faults, customers may choose a replacement or refund in accordance with the CGA.
Faulty Products
If a product is confirmed faulty due to manufacturing defect within the warranty period, SmartLink NZ will repair or replace the product with a like-for-like model. Refunds will not be issued where repair or replacement is a reasonable remedy.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 working days.
Product Use & Liability
SmartLink security products assist with monitoring and deterrence but do not guarantee prevention of crime or loss. Performance may depend on power supply, internet connectivity, and third-party applications. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartLink NZ is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Privacy
SmartLink NZ complies with the Privacy Act 2020. Personal information is collected only for order processing, support, and warranty purposes. We do not sell personal information.
